The Begining!

So this is one of the many blogs that I have a hand in. I have one for my massage therapy. Which I have not done anything with because I have changed email addresses, I also am doing one for the spa that I work for, and one with my friends for spiritual up lifting. Some basic information on me: I am a massage therapist. I love what I do. I am L.D.S. I am preparing for a full time L.D.S. mission. I love my singles ward that I attend, the spirit is so very strong. I am always doing something. I don't like to be couped up inside. I need to see the sunlight, or the winter wonderland around me. I just have to be doing something, I hate to get bored. I play tetris, and I will beat a set of people (you know who you are) eventually. I play sports, I am going to be doing tons of things this summer and I will not be tamed. I am who I am and please don't try to change me. I love food, I am a good cook (when I choose to, that is). I am from Utah County. I love my home very much. I am very proud to be an American and I support our troops in all that they do.

Reasons why I love massage therapy: I get to see people come in and you can literally see the pain that they are in. I watch them get out of their massage and they are no longer in pain, they are totally fine. They are smiling and they always thank me saying, you don't know how long it's been since I have felt this good. I have no pain. Talk about a warm fuzzy inside. It makes me feel like, what I am doing with my life is worth something. I guess it helps me feel full. (te he, food reference!) I also get to learn about each and every life that I touch. I get to show them that I care about them. I get to show them that touch can be a good thing, and that not every massage therapist involves a happy ending. I work two jobs as a massage therapist, at a Chiropractor's office and in a Spa in the Riverwoods in Provo, UT.

I love my friends and my family. I don't know where I would be without them. Life is a very crazy thing, but when you suck it up and deal with it, with some help from your friends and family, and in my case, my God life seems to become much easier. Yes, it's still crazy. Yes, it still sucks some times. But with help you can get through anything. In each generation of my family at least one person has served in the armed forces, making me love and appreciate those who are currently serving as my own kin. I will stand up for any of my friends and family, even if they are wrong. I am very loyal. I have your back.

I was reading my scriptures last night and ran across one of my verses that I have heard. It's in Moroni 10:20-22. Please take some time to read it because it is very true and extremely touching. I know not everyone needs the same thing in life, but that is what I needed to hear.

I am off for the day. But hopefully I'll remember one for tomorrow.

Have Faith, Love Often

Heather
